August 17, 2019 Making perfect Pom Poms with a clever tool!
This reporter will not be able to attend, but here is some info:
Photo below of type of pom pom maker to shop for. A.C.Moore has them, and certainly they would be available lots of places online.
Also: a discussion July 20th during the dyeing workshop was about a proposed restructuring of our meetings. The idea is a really good one, as it will build into our meetings some instructional time, which all of us need at one time or another. The idea is that the first hour of the meeting would be dedicated to business and Show 'n Tell. During the second hour we could divide into groups: one for newcomers wanting to learn to knit or crochet, one or two groups for topics for which anyone needs help....like me! My buttonholes are a mess! A fourth group could be just for those who want to sit 'n knit. If we can spread the word that we have built-in instructional time at our meetings, it might encourage more new members to join! Perhaps at each meeting, plans can be made for the "workshop" topics for the subsequent meeting.
