Sad news: At this meeting, we received the news that our President, Gene, is stepping down. He has the exciting possibility of a new job in Pennsylvania! Many thanks, Gene, for all you've done for us, and our best wishes will always follow you wherever you land in future. Gene is planning to attend the Gloucester Retreat... a good opportunity for 'goodbye' hugs.
Members, please plan to attend our March 16th meeting, at which time we will discuss reorganizing our group leadership and planning our calendar of events. Also, please be thinking about how you can take a more active part in our guild.
Show 'n Tell:
-Gene shared directions for a stretchy bind-off: K2tog, then put that new loop back onto the right-hand needle, and again K2tog, continue
in this manner until all stitches are bound off.
Gene has finished a beautiful child's hat and cowl set in gradient colors of light blue, white, and mint green. He found the pattern on
Ravelry.
- Maria brought to share directions to her beautiful circular cardigan with the oak leaves up the center back. She is currently working on
another of Madeline Hunter's Building with Lace shawls, this one in a dusty medium blue. In March, Maria will begin leading us in a
knit-along production of this shawl. Please plan to purchase the book, Amazon $25, and yarn for the March 16th meeting.
-Jennifer W. continues to develop her shades of yellow, crochete baby blanket.
- Martha is working on a cute cardigan for a teddy bear, in support of our charity. The pattern is a baby sweater from Ravelry.
- Deb T. finished the cowl that was underway at the last meeting. Lovely results.
- Suzanne Th. is working on a brown variegated cowl using the "hurdle stitch".

- Marie is knitting a triangle scarf with blue-green variegated yarn. Awesome color combo.
- Elaine K. is working on a baby blanket in the prettiest shade of pink.
- Elaine B. is finishing up random projects that can be done quickly, stalling for time, before beginning to finally tackle an Irish knit sweater
for herself.
