Jan. 21, 2017: Joint beading & cable workshops, offered by Mary, Elaine, and Andreé

Mar. 18, 2017: This is an ALL DAY EVENT:
Guest presenter: Kristina Parker, "Topics in Knitting", potluck lunch/bring a dish.
Cost covered by treasury. Time > 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Kristina is one of A.C.Moore's on-site experts in all things knitting. She is an amazing multi-tasker who can assist multiple
people at the same time. She will provide instruction and assistance on any knitting topic requested, including but not
limited to:
- cast-on/cast-off methods, such as provisional cast-on, and 3-needle bindoff,
- various increase/decrease methods.
- alternative methods for picking up stitches for necklines, button bands, and other edges,
- toe-up socks,
- magic loop,
- blocking methods,
- and any others suggested/requested by members
Apr. 15, 2017: Field Trip to Knitting B, hopefully lesson on Brioche to be offered by Jenna
Wed. April 19, 2017: CPR, AED, First Aid instruction @ Ashcake Rescue Squad, 3 hours/start time TBD, $35
as this is not fiber related, attendance is certainly optional
May 20, 2017: Knit-A-Zoo, offered by Renée [so far, hedgehog & flamingo, but more coming]
These are the toys it is suggested we donate to children in hospital at Christmas.
June 17, 2017: VERY SPECIAL EVENT!!!! Just a reminder to invite friends and fellow knitter to the June meeting with Demian Savits, owner of Blue Herron yarn, of Easton, Maryland. 10:00-1:00 p.m. He will share the story of how he and his mother started the companyy; how the hand dyeing process results in such gorgeous colors. He will show samples developed and include patterns. A plethora of yarns will be available for sale. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.
