January 20th
Program: Basic crochet stitches, offered by various members [chain stitches, single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet]
- 2 patterns for quick projects will be provided, at least one could be completed by end of session:
a crochet hook storage bag, a girl's headband
- a beginner scarf pattern will also be offered
- some scrap yarn will be available, but members might prefer to bring their own colors @ 4ply worsted
- one F, G, or H crochet hook will be needed, members who crochet are asked to bring extras to loan for just our session

February 17th a "Sit 'n Knit" session
Updated info re: Gloucester Retreat: the date will be Feb. 10th, not the end of Jan. as previously stated. See notes from Jan. 20th meeting.
Supporting the American Heart Association/Children's Heart Association, Little Hats, Big Hearts project. Plan to bring red baby yarn and a newborn hat patterns. See Jan.20th meeting for fiber info and Ravelry links.
March 17th "Happy St. Patrick's Day"
VCU-retired Art Professor Durrell Domacei will do a program on color work. How to chose colors for projects. Suzanne T. coordinates this program.

Need to be at the store for 10:00. If carpooling from the church, be there 8:45, we'll pull out at 9:00. At store we'll discuss where to have lunch.

May 19th
A program on ways to wear scarves. Plus how to do Chinese Cast-on/also called Eygptian Cast-on. All members, please wear a versatile scarf that you've made and plan to demonstrate the different ways to wear it.
Please plan to bring donated items for our charities to next month's meeting. Elaine K. will carry dressed toys to our local First Responders.
June 16th
Annual picnic at Andree's house. Since Andrée can't attend May meeting, we'll do all the planning electronically. Check email after May meeting for sign-up sheet for food. Andrée has charge of drinks, cutlery, and paper goods.

-Discussion to include 2019 calendar; possible Nov. field trip to Ashland's new knit shop: Center of the Yarniverse; when to reschedule field

November 17th
Meeting at Ashland Coffee and Tea, usual time, those interested can pop across to Center of the Yarniverse to browse.
**Plan ahead: Feb. is American Heart Assoc. month to support Pediatric Cardio by knitting/crocheting tiny red hats for newborns & premies. Plan to bring finished hats to Jan. 2019 meeting, to deliver to hospital in time for Feb.1st.
Also, to the Dec. party/meeting, plan to bring donations for the womens shelter and first responders.
December 8th
Corky will host our annual holiday party. Check email for her address.
Annual party, covered dish buffet. HGK will fund paper goods and plastic ware. Becky will officiate for a fun activity. I'm setting up the page for that date now to add any data you need to know, click our date above in green.
