Please note the change of venue and times: As of 1-27-20, Covenant Woods Retirement Community, 7090 Covenant Woods Dr. off Lee-Davis road. It's located about midway between Pole Green Rd. and Rte.360, on the right, coming from Pole Green, the left coming from 360. As we expect new members from Covenant Woods residents. At some point in future, we may add an hour to our meeting time to accommodate more folks at Show 'N Tell. Bring a bag lunch or buy something at The Bistro opposite our meeting room.

A charity Sit 'n Knit: red hats for newborns. Pattern to be emailed to members. Also, 2020 dues, $25, will be accepted from those who missed the January meeting.
March 21st: Program on making sox, lead by some of our most talented members.
April 18th: Field trip to Untangled Purls, Fredericksburg, with instruction on Brioche knitting 1:00-2:00. Bring 2 different colors of DK and whatever size needles you like for that weight yarn. For those not attending the Field Trip, we recommend you meet up with like-minded members at the Yarniverse knitting corner.
May 16th: May 2-3 Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival, bus organized by Center of the Yarniverse. Call soon to reserve a seat. $75.
James River Yarn Crawl, May 17th - 27th. Field trip group is going the 23rd. Same shops as 2019. For those not attending the Yarn Crawl on this date, we recommend you meet up with like-minded members at the Yarniverse knitting corner.
June20th: Annual Picnic. Location to be added here soon. Everyone will bring a dish to share. There will be door prizes and lots of fun!
July 18th & Aug.15th: Extended time frame: special 2 month Program, Felting offered by Maria. July will involve the making of a basket shaped handbag, the Helena bag by Cindy Pilon. Click here to see the bag on Ravelry. Maria will provide the pattern at an earlier meeting. Aug. will involve the felting of the finished product.
September 19th: Entrelac knitting. Best yarn is a variagated yarn with longish colorways, so that each twist of the pattern is a slightly different color. See Ella Rae Seasons yarn at WEBS. For ideas of what entrelac looks like, click here for Ravelry options.
October 17th: Stuffed animal sweaters. Martha has volunteered to donate some animals for this endeavor. Contact her if you need an animals to dress. Donations for the womens shelter are due at the November meeting.
November 21st: Making a Christmas ornament. Donations for the womens shelter are due this meeting.
December ?: Date to be determined. Our normal 3rd Sat. for meetings is both too close to Christmas to be convenient, as well as in conflict with parties of other groups to which some of our members belong.
